When I first got interested in real estate investing, Carleton Sheets was THE real estate investing guru. He was in all the late-night infomercials–playing golf, enjoying his massive house, fancy cars and laughing with friends on his boat.

All the things I didn’t have growing up. I wanted what he had.
Those infomercials got to me. I placed my order and waited excitedly for its arrival. I expected that it would be as effortless as the infomercial made it seem. When it arrived, I tore through the packaging and listened to every tape.

Then there was the next step: put an “I buy real estate” ad in the paper.
What? Let me listen to the tapes again.
Take action: call the number on the ad of someone selling their house.
Um… Back to the tapes I went.

I just couldn’t bring myself to take action. I was frozen in fear.
My own inner gremlins got the best of me and I let them win. 
But not indefinitely.

The Tipping Point That Pushed Me From Real Estate Dreamer To Real Estate Investor

Deep down, I always believed that real estate investing was my true ticket to secure financial stability for me and my family.

I kept attending seminars, pouring more and more money into my dream. And I have a bookshelf packed to the brim with books, binders, and tapes to prove it.

But I never took that first step until I found myself as a single mother fending for my daughter and myself.

Far from home, without my family to support me. I was flat out, worn out, and alone!

And that was my tipping point. I’d finally had enough.

I was determined to break the cycle of analysis paralysis and create a new paradigm for my family.

I bought my first property with the full intention to let it be my stepping stone to real estate investing. It’s been over 19 years since that first purchase, and I’ve continued to add additional properties to my portfolio.

Now I’m helping other ambitious women see that no matter where they come from, it’s possible to own property that makes a profit…

But wait. Who am I to tell you this?

Hi there, I’m Cindy! I’m a real estate investor, coach, speaker and the founder and CEO of Ms Property BOSS Solutions.

I have over 15 years of experience as a property owner and landlord, but I didn’t start out in real estate, or inherit any of the properties I own. Instead, I come from humble beginnings and grew up in a lower working-class neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio.  

Coming up through the ranks in the United States Air Force, I held several leadership positions and managed multimillion-dollar projects. Yet I focused on the opposite of wealth in my personal life. I ran up credit cards, car loans and personal loans. No personal savings either.  

I juggled a master’s degree from the Air Force Institute of Technology, military service, part-time jobs and raising a family all while scraping together enough cash for a down payment. I purchased my first home in 1997 while stationed at the Pentagon, and I’ve since purchased additional properties to add to my portfolio.

Even with layoffs and a bad economy, I continue to thrive due in large part to my investment income.
